UAE Becomes Global Hub for Content Creators, Says Gergawi

Creators HQ, the first headquarters for content creators in the UAE and the Middle East, has recorded remarkable growth. In just six months, it attracted 2,415 active members from 147 countries. The initiative aims to establish the UAE as the global capital of the content economy, with a target of 10,000 creators in the next phase.

The headquarters connects content creators and industry leaders worldwide, helping them grow their work, expand their influence, and strengthen the sustainability of the content economy.

In addition, 78 global companies in the content sector from 24 countries have relocated to the UAE. Leading contributors include the United Kingdom, Pakistan, the United States, India, France, and Germany. Collectively, the creators moving to the UAE hold a following of more than 2.45 billion people. Their work spans multiple platforms and industries, generating millions of views and shaping global conversations on social, cultural, economic, and humanitarian issues.

Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, said the success of Creators HQ reflects the UAE’s leadership in the global content economy. He credited this achievement to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai.

“The content economy is one of the key drivers shaping the future of the world. The UAE is determined to be among the first to lead this future. At Creators HQ, our goal is to build an inclusive and attractive ecosystem for creators, ensuring positive and purposeful content that supports community development,” Gergawi said.

He added: “We believe creators and innovators are the ones shaping a better world. Creators HQ is a hub for creativity and innovation, a place for sharing expertise, improving skills, and uniting creators from all cultures. It offers an environment that allows them to achieve their full potential and continue inspiring global communities with meaningful content.”

Creators HQ was launched during the third edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit in January 2025. Its mission is to empower content creators, support the sustainability of the industry, and reinforce the UAE’s position as the world’s capital of digital content creation.

The headquarters was established through the Content Creators Fund, introduced by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum at the second edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit. The fund supports talents, initiatives, and innovative projects, while driving growth in the digital content creation sector.

As a global hub, Creators HQ is designed to host over 300 events and workshops every year. Members also benefit from exclusive services such as Golden Visa facilitation, relocation assistance, and company setup support.

Creators HQ welcomes talent across social media, digital streaming, podcasts, and visual arts. It also serves advertising agencies, brands, music producers, animation studios, fashion companies, and lifestyle businesses.

To build a complete ecosystem for creative industries, the initiative extends its reach to technology companies, including social media platforms, video and audio streaming services, gaming and e-sports, virtual and augmented reality, AI and machine learning startups, software developers, talent agencies, and content entrepreneurs.
