Google has officially rolled out its advanced AI Mode across the UAE and the wider MENA region. The feature, which initially launched in English, allows users to access a more intelligent and interactive search experience. Over the next few days, it will gradually become available to all users in the UAE through both the Google Search website and the mobile app.
AI Mode uses Google’s Gemini 2.5 AI model to enhance traditional search. It enables users to ask more complex questions, compare products, plan trips, or explore detailed how-to guides. Early users have reported that queries are often two to three times longer than usual, reflecting the feature’s ability to understand and respond to nuanced questions.
Key features include multimodal input, allowing queries via text, voice, or images, and advanced reasoning, which lets AI handle follow-up questions without restarting searches. The feature also uses a query fan-out technique to break down complex questions into multiple searches for more comprehensive results. Google plans to expand AI Mode to additional languages in the future.
