Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has launched the ‘Tadreeb’ platform, an AI-driven system aimed at transforming driver training across the city. The platform uses smart cameras and machine learning to monitor both instructors and learners in real-time, flagging violations like mobile phone use, seatbelt neglect, and unsafe driving practices.
The new system has dramatically improved training oversight, cutting inspection times from 20 minutes to just one, while increasing the detection of safety issues fivefold. Over the past seven months, Tadreeb has tracked more than 1.7 million training sessions involving nearly 246,000 learners, helping enhance the overall quality and safety of driving lessons.
Alongside Tadreeb, the RTA is developing advanced training facilities in Dubailand and Al Rowaiyah, offering simulators, smart test yards, e-learning tools, and comprehensive licensing services. These initiatives aim to streamline the licensing process, improve training efficiency, and support Dubai’s goal of becoming a global leader in safe and modern mobility.
