The Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) has unveiled a futuristic blend of tradition and technology, showcasing how falconry is evolving with modern innovations. From virtual reality experiences to smart training drones, the event highlighted the new tools transforming one of the region’s most cherished heritage sports.
Among the standout technologies were drones designed to train falcons, offering a faster and more efficient alternative to traditional methods. Another innovation, the Bahrain-developed “Telwah” smart lure, can be controlled via an app to simulate prey while recording flight data such as speed and movement, giving falconers detailed insights into their birds’ performance.
Beyond falconry, ADIHEX also emphasized conservation and sustainable practices. Exhibitors presented drones for wildlife monitoring and advanced hunting gear aimed at balancing heritage with modern environmental responsibility. Educational sessions explored artificial intelligence in conservation and satellite tracking of migratory birds, further reinforcing ADIHEX’s role as a platform where culture meets cutting-edge science.
