Dubai Introduces 5-Year Retirement Visa for Expats: Eligibility and Application Guide

Dubai is now offering a 5-year retirement visa for expatriates aged 55 and above, allowing retirees to live in the UAE long-term. Applicants must meet financial criteria, such as earning a minimum monthly income of AED 15,000, holding savings of at least AED 1 million, or owning property valued at AED 1 million. Comprehensive UAE health insurance is mandatory for all applicants.

To apply, retirees need to submit documents including passport copies, bank statements, income proof, property documents, and medical examination results. Applications can be submitted digitally via the UAE Pass system or at Amer Service Centers in Dubai. The visa costs range between AED 2,300 to AED 3,800, with additional fees for sponsoring family members.

The 5-year retirement visa can be renewed as long as eligibility requirements are maintained. Benefits include tax-free living, access to top healthcare services, and the ability to sponsor spouses and dependent children. This initiative aims to attract international retirees seeking a secure and comfortable lifestyle in Dubai.
