Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim was hailed by PM Shehbaz as “a leader of remarkable qualities” for his vision and leadership.
Additionally, he praised Malaysia’s $200 million halal meat import from Pakistan, calling it a significant step in boosting commercial ties. “With time, we will keep growing the halal meat trade,” Shehbaz stated, adding that Pakistan wants to pursue collaborative ventures to take advantage of Malaysia’s industrial and technological know-how. PM Anwar Ibrahim emphasized the significance of peace between India and Pakistan during his remarks at the news conference, pointing out that regional stability in South Asia was vital. Additionally, he promised that Malaysia would fully cooperate in the fight against terrorism. PM Shehbaz commended his counterpart’s recently published book in a symbolic gesture, stating that it will “act as a bridge between Islamabad and Kuala Lumpur.”
When Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif first arrived at the Malaysian prime minister’s office, the Perdana Putra Complex, he was greeted with a guard of honor. As both presidents stood at the salute dais, the national anthems of Malaysia and Pakistan were played. Prime Minister Shehbaz examined the guard of honor presented by the well-groomed Malaysian military contingents. Before the one-on-one meeting and delegation-level discussions to assess Malaysia-Pakistan bilateral ties and seek new areas of collaboration in many industries, the leaders later introduced their respective delegations to one another.
