The Independent reports that the novelist and yoga instructor attributed her departure to “mean girls,” who she claims were able to “drown out” her following base. According to Us Weekly, Baldwin gave an explanation of why she felt she didn’t get enough votes to advance during her speech at the 2025 Guru Awards at the Cicada Club in Los Angeles. “I’ve only recently joined TikTok. It’s just been a few months since I joined. There are a lot of mean girls, which makes it intriguing,” she remarked.
Additionally, Alec Baldwin’s wife considered how her chances might have been impacted by internet campaigns. “I suppose what people were doing was running campaigns in which they would vote for all the other couples apart from us, rather than just their favorite—since you can vote for a couple ten times—so they were trying to drown out my fan base and boost everyone else.” Baldwin said that she “obviously would love to dance,” but she was also “glad my other friends were voted for.”
