The Giza ceremony was attended by dignitaries, international leaders, and heads of state. On behalf of His Highness the President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan The Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, was present during the Grand Egyptian Museum’s formal inauguration event in Giza. Along with several monarchs, presidents of state, and government officials from around the globe, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, attended the inauguration.
As a tribute to Egypt’s enduring legacy, the opening ceremony started with an official group photo of the delegations in attendance. This was followed by a musical symphony played by a world-class orchestra and a spectacular drone and light show that demonstrated the architectural harmony between the Museum’s design and the Pyramids. In a speech greeting visitors to Egypt, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi emphasized the Grand Egyptian Museum as a symbol of human civilization, bringing Egypt’s rich history to the globe. Immersion creative sceneries honoring the museum’s most famous treasures, like as Khufu’s solar boats and artifacts honoring King Tutankhamun, marked the ceremony’s conclusion.
For the first time since his tomb was found in November 1922, King Tutankhamun’s whole collection of ancient artifacts is on display at the Grand Egyptian Museum. The museum location, which is 500,000 square meters in size and has a view of the Giza Pyramids, has twelve magnificent halls around by 120,000 square meters of well designed gardens. From prehistoric ages and ancient Egyptian civilization to the Greco-Roman era, thousands of artifacts from Egypt’s history are on display.
Sheikh Khalifa bin Tahnoon bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Court; Sheikh Salem bin Khalid Al Qassimi, Minister of Culture; Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council and Chairman of the Office of the Crown Prince; and Maryam Eid AlMheiri, Chairperson of the Abu Dhabi Media Office and Advisor of Strategic Relations at the Crown Prince Court joined Sheikh Khaled at the opening ceremony.
