Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the UAE President, praised the UAE’s dedicated humanitarian teams for their outstanding support to the people of Gaza.
He highlighted that the UAE provided large quantities of food and medical aid, reaching Gaza by land, sea, and air. The aid package reached a total value of $2.57 billion.
In a message shared online, Dr. Gargash detailed the UAE’s efforts: over 100,000 tonnes of urgent humanitarian aid, making up more than 40% of all international assistance given to Gaza. The UAE arranged 712 relief flights and 221 airdrops, while 10,000 trucks and 21 ships carried food and medical supplies directly to the Strip.
UAE hospitals treated nearly 3,000 injured people, cancer patients, and children from Gaza. The UAE field hospital in Gaza provided medical care to 53,375 people, and the UAE floating hospital in Al-Arish served 20,990 patients.
The UAE supplied two million gallons of water daily to a million people and provided bread for 76,000 people every day through 20 bakeries. In addition, daily meals were offered to 286,000 individuals. Dr. Gargash emphasized that these actions reflect the UAE’s commitment to humanitarian values, compassion, and generosity for Gaza’s residents.
