On November 7-8, a NADRA team will travel to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, to assist Pakistanis living abroad

The NADRA Mobile Registration Team and the Pakistani Embassy team will visit the location on November 7 and 8 (Friday and Saturday), according to a social media post from NADRA informing Pakistanis residing in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia’s Eastern province. According to Saudi Arabian time zones, the NADRA mobile team will be accessible at Tamimi New Camp in the Eastern province of Dhahran from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Pakistanis living abroad in Dhahran and the surrounding areas are eligible to use NADRA’s services, which include issuing new identity cards, changing or renewing existing ones, and any other associated services.

According to News Channel, a unique piece of software created by the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has discovered over 250,000 counterfeit Pakistani Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) given to people, the majority of whom are citizens of Afghanistan. The software, which was created to identify questionable or counterfeit identity cards, revealed that a large number of Afghan people apparently paid agents to obtain fictitious CNICs. Before receiving official identity cards, they were allegedly linked to Pakistani residents’ family trees. The phony CNICs have started to be blocked by authorities, and those whose cards have been blocked have been told to go to NADRA offices to have them verified.

Those impacted must provide family tree verification documentation to verify their identities, according to NADRA authorities. Legitimate CNICs will be reinstated after the verification procedure is finished. Online Facilities Make the CNIC Process Easier Citizens can now obtain National Identity Cards (CNIC) more easily and avoid frequent trips to the National Database Registration Authority’s (NADRA) offices. Details show that NADRA has implemented a sophisticated and simple process to make it easier for residents to get a CNIC. With the Pak ID website or mobile application, candidates can now apply for their CNIC from the comfort of their homes. After processing, a courier will bring the ID card right at their door.

The officials claim that the new service will help citizens avoid the inconvenience of standing in huge lines at centers and save them important time. Citizens can visit www.nadra.gov.pk or call NADRA’s helpline at 1777 for more information or to make an online application. Within 15 days, NADRA will issue the first free CNIC. According to the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), the Pakistani government has announced a significant relief for its citizens: they can now get their first Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) for free within 15 days.

Citizens who are 18 years of age or older and have not yet gotten a CNIC can apply for and pick up their first ID card at any NADRA center for free, according to the organization’s official Facebook page. By law, when a person turns eighteen, they are entitled for an ID card and the ability to vote. NADRA has also revised its CNIC renewal cost schedule in the interim. For CNIC renewal in October, the authorities will now charge Rs 400 (regular), Rs 1,150 (urgent), and Rs 2,150 (executive).
