Leighton Meester claims that her “toxic” workplace helped her get ready for “I Love LA” on HBO. Leighton Meester has talked candidly about how her experiences influenced her most recent performance on television. The former cast member of Gossip Girl discussed her most recent performance in the new HBO comedy I Love LA in an interview with People Magazine. Meester said, “I’ve been in toxic work environment.” stating, “I think that a lot of people have experienced that, being around people who sort of… I don’t know, just, like, you have a boss that maybe doesn’t uplift you, or whatever.”
The actress said she enjoyed exploring the “chaotic” energy of the show and found it relevant. Notably, her co-star Josh Hutcherson, who participated in the interview as well, said, “In this industry, that’s happened to you?” in response to her admission. “I am aware. It’s startling,” Meester said. The new episodes of Leighton Meester and Josh Hutcherson’s I Love LA, which run on Sundays on HBO, are worth mentioning.
