Lenovo has been designated as an official tech partner for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, incorporating VAR and AI

Lenovo will take care of all the event’s hardware and technology requirements as per the agreement. This implies that they will offer anything from strong servers, storage, and AI-driven data center solutions to ThinkPad laptops and Motorola devices. Additionally, Lenovo will be available to assist with all stadium tech operations, including broadcasting, the media center, the vital VAR system, and real-time data management. But why all this advanced technology? With 104 matches spread across 16 cities and three host nations, this World Cup is considerably more ambitious. It’s harder than ever to keep things operating smoothly with so much going on. For this reason, FIFA selected Lenovo, a business renowned for its proficiency and dependable technology, to guarantee a flawless event. Lenovo will offer AI solutions to improve the viewing experience in addition to addressing technical issues. Real-time statistical analysis, interactive data displays, and intelligent stadium logistics management are some of these AI technologies. Teams and coaches will receive special tablets with real-time tactical data and player performance analytics to help them make tactical decisions.

The 2026 World Cup is expected to be a high-tech event that begins on June 11, 2026. FIFA and Lenovo will discuss their AI technology integration prior to the competition at the Lenovo Tech World event in Las Vegas in January 2026.
