The UAE has announced a winter break for schools

The Ministry of Education’s authorized academic calendar for the 2025–2026 school year states that pupils in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) would begin their winter break on December 8 and continue it until January 4, 2026. A week later, on December 15 in the United Arab Emirates, teaching and administrative staff will start their break. December has a busy agenda, according to the calendar. The first few days of the student holiday, December 8–12, are set aside for make-up exams.

Schools are scheduled to analyze and release first-semester results between January 7 and 9, 2026, and the second semester will start on January 5. The third session of specialized professional training for teachers and administrative staff will take place between December 8 and December 12. There are 67 class days spread across 14 weeks in the first semester. With 47 instructional days spread over almost nine weeks, the second semester will be the shortest term of the academic year. Starting on March 30, 2026, the third semester will consist of 64 instructional days spread over roughly 13 weeks, including five official UAE holidays. There will be roughly 178 instructional days in the 2025–2026 academic cycle, and the school year will end on June 26, 2026, at the latest.
