A Dubai court has ordered the company to pay Dh1.544 million for unpaid packaging supplies

After an expert verifies that the debt represents the worth of the given materials, the judge rules in favor of the supplier. A corporation has been ordered by a Dubai commercial court to pay a packaging supplier Dh1.544 million in unpaid debts, as well as court costs, legal fees, and a five percent delay interest. The firm’s failure to settle the value of packing materials supplied under a number of confirmed commercial agreements led to the court’s decision. Arabic newspaper claimed that the supplier supplied packaging materials used in the defendant company’s operations, which led to the conflict, according to the case file.

Account statements, purchase orders, official invoices, and a formal acknowledgement from the debtor company attesting to the total amount owing are used to substantiate the value of the materials gathered over time. The business failed to make the payment despite the debt’s obvious nature and the copious amounts of supporting documents. The supplier decided to take legal action in order to reclaim its financial rights as a result. The court selected a financial expert to assess the evidence and considered both parties’ submissions throughout the proceedings.

The expert’s report verified that the outstanding amount was correct and yet underpaid, and that the claimed amount reflected the actual worth of packaging materials used by the company in its glass manufacturing activity. Additionally, the court dismissed the company’s claim that the case shouldn’t be considered, stating that the stated objection did not apply to the two parties’ reciprocal commercial relationship. The court determined that the corporation must pay the supplier Dh1.544 million with 5% interest from the date of the claim until complete settlement, together with all fees, expenses, and legal costs, based on the presented documents and the expert’s conclusions.
