Dubai aims for a seamless and safe New Year’s celebration in 2026

Plans to control crowds and important event locations are reviewed by the security committee. Dubai: To evaluate operational preparedness and field plans for the New Year’s 2026 celebrations throughout the emirate, the Dubai Events Security Committee (ESC) called a high-level coordination meeting. Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, the Committee Chair and Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Operations, presided over the meeting. The workshop, which was held at the Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, featured ESC members from several government agencies in Dubai as well as Mishal Abdul Karim Julfar, Executive Director of the Corporation.

Pay attention to crowd control and safety. The main topics of discussion included parking facilities, entry and departure points, transportation routes to important tourist and event places, and crowd control at important celebration venues, particularly fireworks regions. In order to keep up with the event’s expanding scope, the committee also examined last year’s operational plans and considered improvements. Maintaining Dubai’s international standing Major General Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei emphasized that New Year’s celebrations are one of Dubai’s most notable occasions, garnering widespread international media coverage and attention. In order to guarantee that the festivities reflect Dubai’s stellar image and the UAE’s high standards of excellence and safety, he emphasized the significance of well-coordinated teamwork.
