Two fatalities at the residence of actor-director Rob Reiner are being investigated by Los Angeles police as possible homicides

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department announced in a statement on Sunday that two people were discovered dead at actor-director Rob Reiner’s Los Angeles home. Law enforcement officials are looking into the circumstances surrounding what seems to be a homicide. The identity of the two deceased people were not disclosed by the LAPD. However, a 78-year-old male and a 68-year-old woman were discovered dead at a west Los Angeles residence that public records connected to Reiner, a Los Angeles Fire Department officer told News Channel earlier. Reiner and his wife were named as the deceased by media outlets.

Reiner, 78, directed a number of well-known films, including “The Princess Bride,” “This is Spinal Tap,” “When Harry Met Sally,” “Stand by Me,” and “The American President.” He also co-starred in the popular CBS television sitcom “All in the Family” in the 1970s. The image of Donald Trump on the cover of his book “Trump: The Art of the Deal” was taken by his 68-year-old wife, Michele, a former photographer. Rob Reiner, a New York City native and the late actor and comedy writer Carl Reiner’s son, was well-known for his political activity in addition to his Hollywood career.

In the 2004 presidential election, he supported then-Democratic candidate John Kerry and appeared in commercials criticizing George W. Bush. Additionally, he endorsed Democratic presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Al Gore. Reiner’s first wife was Penny Marshall, a producer and director who portrayed Laverne in “Laverne & Shirley.” He later wed Michele Singer, an actress, and the two of them have three kids.
