Sharjah National Oil Corporation uses RISE with SAP to advance the future of energy

The project increases Sharjah’s energy leadership by utilizing cloud ERP, AI, and industry solutions. An important step in Sharjah National Oil Corporation’s (SNOC) corporate journey towards advanced modernization in the energy sector has been reached with the signing of an agreement to adopt RISE with SAP. Under the direction of Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmad Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of SNOC, the program supports Sharjah’s long-term plan to improve operational excellence and sustainability. SNOC’s upstream, operations, supply chain, finance, and human resources departments are all connected under a single intelligent system thanks to the deployment, which serves as a unified digital basis.

SNOC wants to improve operational agility and create a strong foundation for innovation and production growth throughout its upstream portfolio by utilizing SAP’s extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. “SNOC’s agreement with SAP marks an important step in our digital transformation journey, enabling us to enhance efficiency, transparency, and data-driven performance across our operations,” stated SNOC CEO Khamis Al Mazrouei. This program guarantees that SNOC will continue to successfully contribute to the energy security and economic prosperity of the emirate, reflecting Sharjah’s dedication to innovation and sustainable energy leadership. As part of the arrangement, SNOC will implement industry-specific apps for asset optimization, hydrocarbon accounting, and upstream contracts management in addition to SAP’s full portfolio of AI-powered cloud solutions, such as SAP Cloud ERP Private Edition and the SAP Business Technology Platform.

Along with sophisticated analytics via SAP Analytics Cloud, the modernization will also incorporate workforce and environmental solutions via SAP SuccessFactors and SAP S/4HANA Cloud for environment management. When combined, these technologies will improve SNOC’s upstream operations’ efficiency, transparency, and data-driven decision-making. Building a contemporary technological environment “SNOC is proud to launch its digital transformation journey powered by SAP’s cloud solutions,” stated Hala Alhashmi, SNOC’s IT manager. This is more than just a system update; it represents the development of a contemporary technological environment that fosters creativity, adaptability, and expansion while improving our operations. We are laying the groundwork for sustained performance and future value by strengthening operational resilience and empowering our workforce.

“SNOC’s adoption of RISE with SAP is a powerful example of how national energy leaders are driving digital advancement across the UAE,” stated Marwan Zeineddine, Managing Director, SAP UAE. Sharjah’s leadership in intelligent energy operations will be strengthened by SAP’s industry-specific cloud and AI capabilities, which will assist SNOC in achieving greater efficiency and sustainable performance. The UAE’s ambition for a sustainable, innovation-driven economy is in line with SNOC’s transformation, putting the nation’s energy sector at the forefront of this agenda.
