A man was hit by a car while he was crossing the street from an unmarked spot. Fujairah: According to the police, a Bangladeshi national was hit by a car in Dibba Al Fujairah and died early on Friday. The event happened next to a driving institute when the pedestrian tried to cross the road in an undesignated place, according to Brigadier Saleh Mohammed Abdullah Al Dhahnani, Director of the Traffic and Patrols Department at the General Command of Fujairah Police. He was fatally injured when a UAE national’s car struck him.
Al Dhahnani stated that as soon as the operations room received the report, traffic patrols and National Ambulance teams were sent out. After being declared dead at the spot, the victim’s body was sent to Dibba Al Fujairah Hospital to finish the legal process before being given to his family. Police cautioned that crossing from unapproved areas greatly increases the danger of serious accidents and asked pedestrians to always use official crossings.
