Schools in the UAE will reopen on January 5, 2026

Exams will begin in early March, and the second term will last nine weeks. Dubai: According to the Ministry of Education’s authorized academic calendar for the 2025–2026 school year, students and faculty in the UAE will resume classes on January 5, 2026. The calendar indicates that the official start of the second semester will occur between January 7 and 9, when first-term results will be made public. There will be 47 instructional days during the nine-week session. According to the ministry, the Eid Al Fitr vacation and spring break will start on March 16 and last until March 29. The Al Khaleej daily stated this.

Additionally, administrative and teaching staff will receive four days of specialized professional training during the second term, which is set for February 11–13. Final school-based assessments (SSA) for Grades 3 through 12 will take place in all Group A topics between March 4 and 13 of that semester. Three stages are specified in the calendar for documenting learning objectives and project-based evaluations. First phase results must be finalized by January 16, second phase results by January 30, and third phase results by February 20.

By February 17 at the latest, continuous assessments for both Group A and Group B topics must be entered into the system. The second term’s make-up exams will take place from March 30 to April 2, and results are anticipated to be analyzed and published on April 3 and 4. According to the ministry, the calendar attempts to maintain instructional continuity while providing sufficient time for student welfare, teacher development, and assessment.
