Afghanistan: A blast in Kabul claimed seven lives, including a Chinese national

A blast strikes “Chinese Noodle,” a restaurant run by Afghans and Chinese Muslims. Kabul: According to officials, a bomb at a hotel in Kabul’s Shahr-e-Naw neighborhood in Afghanistan killed seven people, including a Chinese person. Unverified stories claim that the bomb was caused by a gas cylinder leak in a restaurant’s kitchen, accusing employees of “negligence” in the process.

According to Khalid Zadran, a spokeswoman for Kabul police, the explosion happened at “Chinese Noodle,” a cooperative eatery for Chinese Muslims and Afghans. He also mentioned that one of the fatalities was Abdul Majid, a Chinese Muslim who lived in the area of Xinjiang.Around 3 PM today, there was an explosion at the “Chinese Noodle” joint Chinese Muslim and Afghan restaurant in Shahr-e-Naw’s Gulforoshi lane in Kabul. Abdul Majid, a Chinese Muslim, his wife, and Abdul Jabbar Mahmoud, an Afghan, worked together to run the restaurant. Zadran cited Abdul Majid, a Muslim who lived in China’s Xinjiang province, in a post on X.

“Food was cooked and sold here only for Chinese Muslims. Six Afghans and one Muslim Chinese national named Ayub were murdered in today’s explosion, while numerous others were injured. He said, “The explosion occurred next to the kitchen. Additional research is being conducted. According to Al Jazeera, the Italian NGO Emergency stated that 20 victims of the explosion had been taken to a hospital under its supervision in Kabul, seven of them were already dead. According to the organization, the death toll was “still provisional.” Following an explosion this afternoon in the Shahr-e-Naw neighborhood, close to the hospital, twenty persons were taken to Emergency’s Surgical Centre in Kabul.

According to a statement from the NGO, seven individuals were found dead upon arrival.
