Bollywood star Akshay Kumar and his spouse, writer Twinkle Khanna, barely avoided a nighttime collision in Mumbai after their convoy was involved in an unusual traffic mishap just after they returned to the city. The couple was traveling back to Juhu from the airport on Monday night when an auto rickshaw was struck by a speeding Mercedes and forced into one of Akshay’s security escort vehicles. subsequently crashed into the actor’s SUV after being followed by a car. Around nine o’clock at night, the accident occurred close to the Silver Beach café, a busy area that was already packed because Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the founder of Art of Living, was attending a nearby event.
Twinkle and Akshay were in a different vehicle ahead of the convoy and were just slightly impacted. Both are safe, according to sources. The driver and a passenger were momentarily trapped in what seemed to be a severely crushed car, according to the eyewitness accounts. After exiting his car, Akshay assisted his group in lifting the vehicle so they could be freed. “It was frightening to see the accident, but thankfully everyone is safe,” an eyewitness stated. The couple was celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary after returning from a trip overseas.
