Surety bonds demanded from owners of rooftops reserved for Basant

Lahore: CCPO Lahore has ordered to take shorty bonds from owners of rooftops reserved for Basant for implementation of SOPs. A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Bilal Siddique Kamiana regarding the peaceful conduct of Basant, in which various issues were reviewed to ensure the safe conduct of Basant. He said that more people than the capacity will not be allowed on rooftops, the Punjab Regulation of Kite Flying Act 2025 should be fully implemented, and from today, no motorbike should come on the road without a safety rod. CCPO Lahore also directed to form police teams for monitoring during Basant. He said that there will be zero tolerance for aerial firing, display of weapons. Yes, violations will be dealt with indiscriminately.
