Emirati Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem bint Ibrahim Al-Hashimy

Dubai: Emirati Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem bint Ibrahim Al-Hashimy said that the rule of Gaza is the right of the Palestinians. In a statement issued from Abu Dhabi, Emirati Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem bint Ibrahim Al-Hashimy said that only humanitarian aid measures are being taken in Gaza. She said that talks of an interim administration in Gaza should be limited to negotiations. He said that he would join any peace plan for Gaza only after reforms. On the other hand, Israel has opened the Rafah Crossing between Gaza and Egypt to pedestrians after two years. Yesterday, 50 Palestinians crossed from Gaza, while foreign journalists were not allowed to enter Gaza through the Rafah Crossing. With the opening of the Rafah Crossing, 150 Palestinians will be allowed to leave Gaza and fifty Palestinians will be allowed to enter Gaza daily. Israel occupied the Rafah Crossing in May 2024 and closed it to traffic. After Israel opened the Rafah border, thousands of sick and injured Palestinians are waiting to leave Gaza for urgent medical assistance. Late last night, Palestinians and their families undergoing treatment at the Red Crescent hospital in Khan Yunis waited for the transfer of their loved ones, but the strict screening and checking by Israeli forces is making it difficult to transfer patients. According to the Gaza Ministry of Health, when the Rafah border was opened, While the border was closed, 1,268 people died in Gaza while waiting for medical evacuation, and the number is expected to rise if more Palestinians are not allowed to leave immediately.
