Epstein Probe: Clintons Offer In-Person Testimony to Avert Contempt Charges

Clinton

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton have agreed to give in-person testimony in Washington, DC in a congressional investigation linked to Jeffrey Epstein.

The decision came at the last minute, just before the House was set to vote on holding them in contempt of Congress for refusing to testify for months. House Oversight Chairman James Comer said he still needs more details, including exact dates.

Democrats on the committee said the Clintons accepted all conditions and welcomed the move. Lawmakers have paused the contempt vote for now. Bill Clinton has denied any wrongdoing connected to Epstein, who died in jail in 2019. The investigation continues as newly released Epstein-related documents draw public attention.
