Ahsan Iqbal asserts that the government and the Awami Action Committee have reached a common agreement.

He stated that the government has approved all of the joint action committee’s recommendations and that the agreement will be inked shortly. “Those who want widespread violence and mayhem have been unsuccessful. “This is a triumph for democracy and the people of Azad Kashmir and Pakistan,” he continued. In order to ensure that the agreed points are implemented, Ahsan Iqbal added that a permanent committee has been established and is overseen by the Minister for Kashmir Affairs. Every fifteen days, the group will convene to discuss its progress.

According to the minister, a distinct committee of constitutional experts has been formed to look into every facet of the refugee seat reservation issue. “Everyone will accept the result that is reached following this committee’s study. He underlined, “This is a constitutional matter and will not be rushed.” As efforts continue to resolve the continuing difficulties in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) through discussion and legal means, the government delegation and the Joint Awami Action Committee (JAAC) started their second round of talks in Muzaffarabad on Friday.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s high-level delegation is meeting with JAAC leaders to resolve public complaints and put an end to the recent protests in the area. “The second round of negotiations between our delegation and the representatives of the JAAC has begun in Muzaffarabad,” said Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, who posted pictures from the meeting on his official X account. He stated that the majority of JAAC’s demands, which are in the public interest, have already been granted, and he reiterated his unwavering support for the rights of the Kashmiri people. He said that discussions about the remaining requests, which call for constitutional amendments, are still ongoing.
