Emma Mary Tiglao of Pampanga has been crowned Miss Grand Philippines 2025 in a grand coronation night held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on August 24. The former news anchor and beauty queen stood out among the candidates, sweeping several special awards including Best in Swimsuit, Best in Evening Gown, Miss Photogenic, and Miss Monarch Montage, before securing the coveted crown. She succeeded outgoing queen Christine Juliane “CJ” Opiaza, the first Filipina to win Miss Grand International.
During the final question-and-answer portion, Tiglao impressed both the judges and the audience with her response about promoting peace to world leaders. She highlighted that peace should be viewed as a quality, not a quantity, and stressed the importance of continuous dialogue to bridge differences in politics, power, and property. Her eloquence and strong stage presence sealed her victory in the national pageant.
Tiglao will now represent the Philippines at the Miss Grand International 2025 competition, which will take place on October 18 in Bangkok, Thailand. With the Philippines coming off a historic win last year, Tiglao will aim to achieve a rare back-to-back victory for the country on the international stage.
