Fujairah Police Arrest Gang Within Three Hours After Bank Robbery

Fujairah Police have swiftly arrested a gang that robbed a bank customer in the emirate, solving the case within just three hours of the crime. The quick operation highlights the Ministry of Interior’s strong security record and commitment to public safety.

Brigadier Dr. Ali Rashid Bin Awash Al Yamahi, Director General of Police Operations, said the incident occurred on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 10:50 a.m. A female bank customer reported that she was robbed of AED 195,000 after being deceived by the culprits. They tricked her by claiming there was an issue with her car’s rear tire. While she stepped out to check, one of the thieves opened the opposite door and stole the money before escaping.

Colonel Saeed Obaid Saif Al Kindi, Director of the Criminal Investigation Department, stated that police teams launched an immediate investigation, collecting evidence and tracking the suspects. Within three hours, officers successfully identified the criminals, who were already wanted for similar thefts in another emirate. Through quick coordination with Sharjah Police, the gang was arrested and handed over to the concerned authorities for legal action.

The Commander-in-Chief of Fujairah Police commended the investigation teams for their professionalism, efficiency, and rapid response. He emphasized that this achievement reflects the Ministry of Interior’s dedication to enhancing security, maintaining safety, and protecting the community.

The Fujairah Police General Command urged residents to remain cautious when leaving banks, avoid interacting with strangers, and report any suspicious activity immediately. Public cooperation, the police added, plays a vital role in ensuring swift action and maintaining safety across the emirate.
