Gandapur publicly announces his resignation and claims to have served KP honorably.

On the social media platform X (previously Twitter), Ali Amin Gandapur posted his letter of resignation along with a statement declaring his allegiance to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder. “It is my honor to tender my resignation from the Office of the Chief Minister, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in respectful compliance of the orders of my leader, and Founding Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Imran Khan,” he wrote in his post. In his parting letter, Gandapur outlined his accomplishments while serving as Chief Minister and announced his resignation.

“The province faced a dual challenge of financial ruin and the menace of terrorism when I took over as Chief Minister,” he remarked. With the help of my cabinet, our party members and workers, my bureaucratic team, and most importantly, Imran Khan, we have guided the province to financial stability over the past 1.5 years and have faced the threat of militancy head-on with steadfast decision-making and decisive courage. In a province designated as a war zone by the military, we started massive nation-building programs.

With the words, “I thank all my cabinet colleagues, members of the Assembly – both from PTI as well as opposition – and all officers of KP bureaucracy who helped me face extraordinary challenges of governance in KP,” the departing chief minister thanked his cabinet members. One thing I can say with absolute certainty is that I served the people of KP with complete sincerity and always acted in Pakistan’s best interest, even though I may not be able to say that I performed well on all of those challenges. He used patriotic language to wrap up his speech: “PTI Paindabad, Pakistan Zindabad.”
