According to the Hurun India Rich List 2025, a yearly list of India’s wealthiest people, Bollywood king Shah Rukh Khan, 59, has finally become a billionaire after an extraordinary career spanning more than three decades. He has accumulated a staggering wealth of INR 12,490 Crore ($1.4 billion or £1.03 billion). With the achievement, the “Jawan” singer joins Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Rihanna among the richest celebrities in the world. In addition to being in the same club as a number of Western celebrities, Khan’s enormous net worth places him as the richest actor in India and among the wealthiest in the world, surpassing even Swift, Gomez, and Jerry Seinfeld.
But according to Anas Rahman Junaid, founder and chief researcher at Hurun India, Khan’s “stakes in Red Chillies Entertainment [his production company] and Kolkata Knight Riders [his IPL franchise]”—along with his earnings from movies and advertisements and real estate investments worldwide—are what really propel him to become a billionaire.
