Katy Perry has addressed recent rumours linking her romantically with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
The pop star, known for hits like Roar, made a playful remark onstage during her concert at London’s O2 Arena on October 13.
Speaking to the audience, Katy, who is on her Lifetimes World Tour, said, “London, England, you’re like this on a Monday night after a whole day at work and a whole day at school?”
She added with a smile, “No wonder I fall for Englishmen all the time but not anymore,” hinting at the speculation surrounding her love life.
During the show, Katy also received a surprise marriage proposal from a fan, which she declined, joking, “I wish you’d asked me 48 hours ago.”
The remarks came shortly after photos surfaced showing Katy and Justin sharing a kiss and embracing on her yacht near Santa Barbara, California. The images, published by the Mail on Sunday, fueled speculation about their relationship.
A source previously told The Sun that the couple may have been secretly dating earlier this year. “They haven’t been able to spend a lot of time together as she’s on tour, but they’re constantly in contact — always FaceTiming and messaging each other,” the insider said.
Katy reportedly ended her engagement with actor Orlando Bloom in July. The couple shares a five-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom.
Justin, who served as Canada’s Prime Minister from 2015 to 2025, divorced his former wife Sophie in 2023 after 18 years of marriage. They have three children together.
