The Ministry of Health is anticipated to make contact with religious and political leaders shortly, according to sources. According to officials with knowledge of the development, attempts will be made to persuade these parties of the value of the HPV vaccine. Leaders in politics and religion will be asked to back the campaign and make public declarations in favor of it. In order to get their support, the Pakistani government delegation will also meet with eminent academics from various schools of thought. In order to spread the word about the advantages of the vaccine, political and religious leaders will also be asked to post video messages on social media.
According to sources, the government has already informed female lawmakers on the HPV vaccine as part of its plan to guarantee the campaign’s success and wider acceptance. It should be mentioned that Pakistan started its first-ever nationwide cervical cancer prevention program on September 15. Officials said the immunization campaign would take place in Punjab, Sindh, Islamabad, and Azad Kashmir from September 15 to September 27. HPV vaccinations and syringes have previously been provided to Azad Kashmir and the federal and provincial governments.
