Pakistan government decides to introduce Athlete of the Year Award

Islamabad: The government has decided to introduce the Athlete of the Year Award. According to sources, the best male and female athlete will be awarded every year, along with a cash prize of Rs 2.5 million. A special award ceremony will be held at the end of each year, the national athlete will be awarded the award based on performance. The Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination has also taken approval from the Pakistan Sports Board.
