Sheikh Mohamed urged everyone to offer up prayers for rain and mercy to be shown to the country. Abu Dhabi: On Friday, October 17, thirty minutes prior to the Friday prayer, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has ordered that all mosques in the United Arab Emirates conduct Salaat Al Istisqaa, the Arabic prayer for rain. In keeping with the Sunnah (traditions) of Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, the president urged everyone to pray to Allah Almighty for rain and mercy for the country.
