Pakistan’s Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) reported that the supermoon to appears up to 7.9% larger and approximately 15% brighter than a usual full Moon. The Moon would be 357,218 kilometers away from the Earth. The celestial show takes place as the moon approaches near to our earth. This supermoon will be the third and last of 2025 and it will be 99.8 per cent brighter on December 05 morning at 4:15am. Suparco said that the supermoon will be 99.2 per cent brighter on December 04 evening. The viewers could readily watch the display on the nights of December 04 and 05.
The spectacle will be visible around the planet, delivering a stunning night sky for viewers and photographers both. Before this event, a supermoon decorated the sky earlier on November 5. Another supermoon projected to occur in early January 2026, albeit it will not be counted as part of the 2025 supermoon cycle. Interestingly, researchers pointed out that an optical illusion can make a supermoon appear even larger to the unaided eye when it rises close to the horizon. This phenomena has captivated sky watchers for decades.
