Zhou clarified, “AI is a tool for humanity, not to replace human creativity.” The project’s director also called it a “groundbreaking experiment in cinematic storytelling,” combining AI-driven images with human emotion to examine the relationship between memory, technology, and art.
“It expands our potential and creates what I refer to as an immortalityscape—a vision in which technology, memory, art, and bodies come together to transcend time,” Zhou continued. “I am inspired by its positive potential for the future, provided we use it in a respectful and safe manner,” he said. Notably, Renner provides the voice of the Oracle of Time, a narrator who leads viewers through a vast narrative that spans from the universe’s beginnings until the year 2080. After his near-fatal snowplow accident in 2023, the movie represents his return to voice acting and a moving comeback.
