The prime minister is deeply concerned about the situation in Azad Kashmir and instructs security personnel to exercise restraint.

In addition, he pledged to personally supervise the resolution process and announced an expanded negotiation committee. The prime minister stressed in a statement that everyone has the constitutional and democratic right to peaceful protest, but he also asked protesters to keep the peace and refrain from any actions that would disturb it. In order to respect popular emotion and refrain from needless severity, he instructed the law enforcement agencies to be patient and restrained with the demonstrators. The prime minister promised that the government will always be prepared to address its brothers in Kashmir’s problems.

He called for a thorough inquiry into the situation and prompt aid for the impacted families, expressing his profound worry over the regrettable events that occurred during the protests. The federal ministers Sardar Yusuf and Ahsan Iqbal, Senator Rana Sanaullah, former Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Masood Khan, and Qamar Zaman Kaira were all included to the negotiation group by Prime Minister Shehbaz in an effort to find a peaceful solution to the problem. He gave the negotiation group instructions to travel to Muzaffarabad right away in order to resolve the problems in a timely and permanent manner. The prime minister further declared that when he returned to the nation, he would personally oversee the negotiating process.

Additionally, the prime minister urged the Action Committee’s leadership and members to work with the government’s negotiation committee. In order to guarantee a prompt resolution of the situation, he instructed the committee to promptly submit its recommendations and suggested remedies to the Prime Minister’s Office.
