Public Safety Warnings:
- Avoid valleys, landslide-prone slopes, and areas prone to water accumulation.
- Do not approach open or elevated areas during lightning or thunder.
- Drive cautiously; low visibility and sudden downdrafts are hazardous.
- Entering valleys during water flow may result in:
- Fine of 2,000 AED
- 23 black points
- Vehicle impoundment for 60 days (Ministerial Resolution No. 227 of 2023)
Cause:
The NCM reported a combination of a surface low-pressure system from the south, an upper-air low, and a cold, moist air mass affecting the country.
Authorities urged residents to remain vigilant and follow official advisories.
