RAWALPINDI: According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday, Pakistani security forces killed eleven khwarij who belonged to Indian Proxy Fitna Al Khwarij in two different encounters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The ISPR claims that on January 8, 2026, an intelligence-based operation was carried out in the North Waziristan district in response to information of Khwarij presence in the region. Six Khwarij were killed in a fierce gunfight after security forces successfully engaged the Khwarij site during the operation.
In a different incident, police and security forces in the Kurram district conducted a coordinated intelligence-based operation. Five Khwarij were successfully neutralized in the subsequent firefight. According to the ISPR, guns and ammunition were also found on dead Indian-sponsored khwarij, who continued to actively participate in a number of terrorist acts against law enforcement, security forces, and innocent civilians. To get rid of any additional Indian-sponsored kharji in the area, sanitization procedures are being carried out.
The statement also reiterated that in order to eliminate the threat of foreign-sponsored terrorism from the nation, Pakistan’s security forces and law enforcement agencies will carry out their unrelenting counterterrorism campaign under the vision of “Azm-e-Istehkam,” as authorized by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan.
