Abu Dhabi: Around 72,000 Emiratis have applied to perform Hajj in 2026 (1447 AH) using the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat’s smart application and website before the registration deadline on October 9, 2025. All registered individuals expressed their desire to perform the obligatory pilgrimage.
The Authority has started reviewing and approving initial applications for this year’s Hajj package, ensuring that each applicant meets the required conditions.
Selection will follow Cabinet Resolution No. (32) of 2018, which governs the Hajj and Umrah system. The quota for Emirati pilgrims for the upcoming season has been set at 6,228, as allocated by the Saudi Arabian authorities overseeing Hajj operations.
Applicants who receive preliminary approval will be contacted through their registered phone numbers. Those selected are urged to complete all required procedures within the specified deadlines to ensure timely issuance of Hajj permits.
The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to streamlining and finalizing all administrative and logistical processes related to Emirati pilgrims ahead of the Hajj season. This early preparation aims to provide sufficient time for pilgrims and service providers to share their feedback and requirements, ensuring all arrangements meet the highest standards established in the official agreements.
