A man who disregarded traffic laws was found guilty of hurting a pedestrian. Dubai The traffic court in Dubai found a young Arab man guilty of driving carelessly and inflicting physical harm to a pedestrian. He was fined Dh3,000. According to court documents, the defendant was operating his private vehicle without paying attention to traffic signs and laws or road conditions. The driver’s failure to drive with sufficient caution toward pedestrians caused his car to hit an Asian woman and injure her, according to prosecutors, who characterized the incident as a significant traffic infraction.
According to Emarat Al Youm, the Public Prosecution accused the man of violating the obligation of safe driving under Article 394 of the Federal Crimes and Penalties Law, as well as pertinent articles of the Traffic and Road Regulations Law and its administrative regulations. The court’s conclusion that the offense had been proven was supported by the defendant’s in-person appearance and admission of guilt during the hearing. Based on evidence including the police incident report, a traffic accident investigation report, a schematic depiction of the scene, and a medical report detailing the victim’s injuries, the court declared that it was convinced beyond a reasonable doubt that the defendant’s conduct directly caused the collision.
The defendant’s prior confession, technical results, and witness testimony were all taken into account in the verdict. According to the Federal Criminal Procedure Law, the evidence collectively created a convincing and unambiguous chain that established his guilt. Under Articles 100 and 101 of the Federal Crimes and Penalties Law, the court used its discretion to lower the statutory penalty based on the facts of the case and the defendant’s circumstances. After the offender paid the Dh3,000 fine issued by the court, the Traffic Prosecution released him.
