Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have filed for divorce, formally ending their union. After spending over 20 years together, the former couple has finalized their divorce, according to new court documents. Documents received from various sources revealed that the two celebrities have decided to part ways without reaching a consensus on child or spousal support, signifying a tidy and mostly quiet conclusion to their romance. According to the documents submitted, Kidman and Urban, both 58, reached a custody agreement for their two kids, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, on Tuesday.
Kidman will be the children’s primary caregiver for 306 days a year. Urban, however, consented to spend every other weekend with his girls. The agreement states that both parents make more than $100,000 a month, thus neither parent will be paying child support despite the custody split. Additionally, the ex-couple agreed to divide their assets equally, with each maintaining what they already own. This covers real estate, investments, bank accounts, cars, household goods, and personal possessions. Both parties will pay their own legal fees, and all claims to spousal support and alimony have been waived. Whether Kidman and Urban had a prenuptial agreement is unknown.
Kidman waived her right to appear in court since she had just returned from Australia, where she had spent the holidays with her daughters, even though a hearing had been set. The first publication to announce that the divorce was finalized was The Daily Mail. When Page Six revealed in September 2025 that the couple was divorcing after 19 years of marriage, the news of their split was first made public. “Sometimes relationships just run their course,” a source stated at the time, adding that Kidman “did not want the separation and was trying to save things.” Citing “irreconcilable differences,” Kidman officially filed for divorce on September 30. According to reports, the couple had been living apart since early summer 2025.
After the breakup, Urban and his guitarist Maggie Baugh were briefly connected, however someone close to Baugh later denied the rumors. Kidman and Urban got married a year after first meeting at a G’Day USA dinner in January 2005. Prior to that, Kidman was married to Tom Cruise from 1990 until 2001. The two of them have two grown children, Bella, 32, and Connor, 30.
