Kylie Jenner talks about overcoming her fear for her part in the Charli xcx movie. As herself, Kylie Jenner is making her big-screen debut. The 28-year-old reality star and beauty mogul said on her sister Khloé Kardashian’s Khloé in Wonder Land podcast on Wednesday that she will be in Charli xcx’s upcoming A24 film, The Moment, which is “based on an original idea” by the musician. “Obviously, it’s major,” Jenner remarked. “Oh my god, I was terrified to actually do the Charli movie for days before it came out. I played a pretty minor role. I had a lot of lines, but I was really terrified.
According to Jenner, the encounter forced her to step outside of her comfort zone. She remarked, “I used to do a lot more things like that, but now I’m used to being very sheltered, staying in a safe box.” I probably don’t share as much these days because of it. You begin defending yourself after years of criticism and condemnation. I was afraid to accomplish this, but once I did, I was really proud. According to Deadline, The Moment follows a rising pop artist (played by Charli xcx) as she gets ready for her first arena tour while juggling stardom and industry pressure. Jenner shot her scenes just after Jesús Guerrero, a longtime friend and hairstylist, died in February from a fungal disease and lung infection after visiting Dubai.
“Wow, I’m in such a bad place,” I thought after I had already committed. I’m not sure if I’ll be alright after a month. Jenner remarked. “I really want to do it,” I told Aiden Zamiri, the director. Give me a chance, and I’ll figure it out. Jenner relied a lot on her family during that period, particularly her sister Kim Kardashian, who most recently starred in Hulu’s All’s Fair. Jenner said, “She was such a big support for me.” “I had a lot of support from my family during that time.”
