The stars entering the tower for Disney’s live-action adaptation of Tangled have been formally revealed. Fans of the cherished 2010 animated movie went crazy when the international entertainment corporation revealed on Wednesday, December 7, that Teagan Croft and Milo Manheim had been cast as Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. The 24-year-old Manheim, the son of Emmy-winning actress Camryn Manheim, is most known for his role as Zed in Disney Channel’s Zombies franchise, while the 21-year-old Australian actress gained notoriety as Raven in HBO Max’s DC series Titans. The fairy tale, which originally had Zachary Levi and Mandy Moore as Rapunzel and Flynn’s voices, will be revitalized by the two.

Michael Gracey, best known for directing The Greatest Showman, is apparently slated to film the live-action Tangled. Scarlett Johansson is reportedly in talks to play Mother Gothel, the evil captor who was first voiced by Donna Murphy. Johansson has also been connected to the project. Disney has not yet announced a release date or additional casting. Last year, Lilo & Stitch, Disney’s most recent live-action remake, made nearly $1 billion at the movie office worldwide. Other notable live-action remakes from the studio include The Little Mermaid, starring Halle Bailey, and Snow White, starring Rachel Zegler.
