Dubai: According to Egyptian authorities, a family of five—a husband, wife, and their three children—were discovered dead in their flat in the Boulaq El Dakrour neighborhood of Giza. Investigators suspect the gas leak happened while the family was sleeping. Security personnel and paramedics raced to the area after police received an emergency call reporting the deaths found inside the apartment. According to preliminary investigations, the family perished from suffocation brought on by gas leaks.
The public prosecution, which has launched an investigation into the incident’s circumstances, oversaw the bodies’ transfer to hospital mortuaries. The tragedy comes after a string of comparable events that have occurred all around the nation. According to Egyptian media, a newlywed couple in Upper Egypt’s Minya governorate passed away earlier as a result of gas leaking into their house. The bride passed away from her wounds ten days after receiving hospital treatment, while the groom passed away soon after the occurrence. In a different instance in Minya, medical personnel were able to save the lives of four patients who were admitted to the hospital on November 29 after inhaling gas in the Maghagha neighborhood.
Most recently, four people were hurt on Thursday night when a gas pipeline exploded inside a residential building in Giza’s Imbaba district. The ensuing fire was swiftly contained, according to authorities, and a thorough investigation has been started to ascertain the cause.
