For the eagerly awaited return of The Muppet Show, Sabrina Carpenter has teamed up with one of the most adored divas on television. During Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest, the pop star made an appearance alongside Miss Piggy in the first teaser for the upcoming Muppet Show special. The Espresso singer was seen having a good time, dressing similarly to Miss Piggy, and participating in the Muppets’ shenanigans throughout the teaser. In one particularly memorable instance, Sabrina Carpenter calls Miss Piggy a “icon,” to which the self-assured actress replies with a flirting “You’re too sweet” and a knowing smile. Proceed.
The singer of Please, Please, Please made a brief appearance months after she “arrested” Miss Piggy at the last performance of her Short n’ Sweet Tour in Los Angeles. She turned to Miss Piggy and Bobo the Bear and remarked, “Like you, gorgeous,” after telling the crowd, “You guys are so beautiful it should be a crime.” That face is familiar to me everywhere! Miss Piggy said, “I’m loving it!” when Carpenter inquired if she was enjoying the performance. Yes, I do have some notes. After the show, I’ll share them with you. As part of the humorous scene, Miss Piggy was escorted away in handcuffs by fellow Muppet Bobo the Bear. On Wednesday, February 4, ABC and Disney+ will debut The Muppets Show.
