In the record-breaking month of Rabi Al Thani, 11.7 million pilgrims do Umrah in Saudi Arabia.

The Kingdom’s improved digital offerings and increased accessibility are reflected in the rise in numbers. Dubai: According to new data released by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in collaboration with the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, over 11.7 million worshippers performed Umrah during the Hijri month of Rabi Al Thani, one of the highest monthly figures recorded to date. More over 1.5 million of the pilgrims were from outside the Kingdom, according to the study.

The increase, according to officials, is a result of integrated logistical services and optimized digital systems that have made travel and ritual performance simpler, safer, and more comfortable for worshippers. The expansion is a component of Saudi Arabia’s larger initiatives to improve the Hajj, Umrah, and tourism ecosystem in accordance with Vision 2030, which aims to make it easier for Muslims all over the world to reach the Two Holy Mosques and guarantee a spiritually fulfilling experience. The General Authority and the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah reiterated their dedication to promoting cooperative projects that raise the standard of services at every point of the pilgrims’ trip.

Additionally, they keep creating new operational and digital technologies that will improve worshippers’ experiences from the time they organize their visit until their safe return home.
