Additionally, an earthquake of a magnitude of 5.09 was observed in Iraq across the border. According to the Saudi Gazette, the Saudi Geological Survey (SGS) detected two earthquakes on Saturday, one in Iraq and one in Saudi Arabia. A small earthquake was found by the SGS’s National Seismic Monitoring Network approximately 86 kilometers northwest of Harrat Al Shaqa, which is located between Al-Ais in the Madinah region and Umluj in the Tabuk region. The Richter scale value for the tremor was 3.43. One of the most notable volcanic lava fields in Saudi Arabia is Harrat Al-Shaqa. The SGS also reported that Iraq experienced a second earthquake with a Richter scale value of 5.09.
