Israeli strikes in Gaza have killed at least 50 people: Civil defense

At least 50 Palestinians, including 22 children, have died and about 200 have been injured in dozens of Israeli attacks on Palestinian territory, Gaza’s civil defense agency told AFP on Wednesday. “At least 50 killed, including 22 children and a number of women and children, as a result of the ongoing Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip since last night,” the organization’s spokesperson, Mahmud Bassal, told AFP. He described the situation in Gaza as “catastrophic and terrifying” and stated that almost 200 people were injured “in a clear and flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreement”. Thirty terrorist commanders in Gaza were reportedly struck by Israeli army attacks.
