Lahore: Basant preparations begin in Lahore, sales of kites, goads and strings start today. 2246 traders in Lahore have been given permission to buy and sell, in Lahore district, buying and selling of kites, goads and strings has been allowed from today till February 8, while after February 8, there will be a complete ban on making and selling kites. So far, 2504 traders have applied online, 163 registrations are in progress, 95 traders’ applications have been rejected, the registration process will continue till February 8, the registration process of more traders is underway. On the other hand, as soon as the purchase of kites and strings started in Lahore, a large number of citizens headed to the inner city. Due to the heavy rush of people, the shopkeepers closed their shops after an hour, and citizens are complaining about the high price of string. One tawa gada was sold for Rs 250 to Rs 300, one and a half tawa gada was sold for Rs 450 to Rs 500, one piece of panah was sold for Rs 4,000 and one and a half piece of panah was sold for Rs 6,000.
