Meta Secures $10 Billion Google Cloud Deal to Boost AI Ambitions

Meta Platforms has signed a major six-year cloud computing agreement with Google Cloud worth over $10 billion. The deal will provide Meta with essential cloud services, including servers, storage, and networking, aimed at strengthening the company’s artificial intelligence infrastructure.

The partnership reflects Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s push to advance AI capabilities, including developing what he calls “personal superintelligence.” The move comes as Meta raises its annual capital expenditure forecast to between $66 billion and $72 billion, signaling a major commitment to AI development.

For Google Cloud, landing Meta as a client is a significant milestone, cementing its role in the competitive AI infrastructure market. The deal also underscores a wider trend of collaboration among tech giants to build robust cloud systems capable of supporting next-generation AI projects.
